With my initial idea I came up with I've been looking at a similar style I did with my second year project stemming around vinyl toys. I also want it to be very British aswell which will be shown by the characters clothes and the subtle features of the environment.

Adaptation B: New Influence map for Wine Character
After Alan and Phil's criticism on my last wine character design I'm going with a more bougy upper-class character opposed to the overly feminine one I designed before.

Adaptation B: Style influence map
Although I started my initial character designs in a different style I feel that this one is more suited for my concept as not only is it a modern style relatable to the young and student target audience but it also has a simplistic feel which will work well in emphasising the abstract characteristics each character and their drink has.

Wine characters influence map
For the Wine character I want to create an almost extreme case of bi-polar or personality disorder where she is extremely bright and girly but can change to a dark emotionless character.

Beer character's Influence map
To further help me with designing the next character I've done another additional influence map for just the beer character using the words that were associated with the drink in the brainstorm. This will hopefully give me a better sense of direction I will be taking this character down.

Adaption A: Influence map

After my tutorial with Alan today, I got the idea of using a simplistic style of shapes and form to design the characters in my infographic. I've been looking at styles where the body parts are resemblant to the initial starting point of creating a character which for superheros like superman is an upside down triangle with a small circle or square for a head. I may not even attach these body parts together leaving them looking as if they are floating shapes in the air, kind of like Rayman.

Character Design: Mechanism influences

| Influence Map |
For the mechanism and movement of the characters in the game I've looked at various other phone app or arcade games that require the main character or object to navigate around by bouncing and rolling. From this research I've decided to make my characters seem more of a flubbery type of material to link more with the key word "elasticity". I plan to do this by making them wobble after their movement or consuming the candy in each level.
